Fibre
The alpacas are responsibly farmed in the Peruvian highlands, where the yarn is also spun and dyed. Thanks to their soft hooves and gentle feeding habits, alpacas have a light impact on the land on which they graze. Our wool fibres come from Argentina and Uruguay and are mulesing-free. To ensure the structural stability and durability of the yarn, a polyamide fibre is used. We aim to avoid synthetic fibres in our collections, but here it gives the alpaca yarn structural stability for the best possible quality.
Fabric
Our signature alpaca bouclé yarn is knitted together with alpaca and wool blend to create a beautifully soft and wonderfully warm garment. Bouclé refers to a yarn made from looped fibres along the thread, which, when knitted, creates a lovely curly texture. It not only looks great but also forms additional air pockets for extra warmth. Each panel is knitted to the shape of the garment which therefore creates less wastage. Panels and trims are attached using a hand-linking machine, resulting in a premium, high-quality garment.
Factory
The garments are knitted in a small factory near Bangkok, Thailand. Established by our long-term partners and equipped with an in-house laundry, the factory specialises in garment finishing with an exceptional hand feel.
