We chose to work with Gaimo because of its expertise in combining local craftsmanship with innovative techniques to create high-quality espadrilles. Gaimo was founded in 1978 by José Luis and Esmeralda Iturriaga in Arnedo, Spain and, over 40 years later, their four daughters help lead the brand. Gaimo remains rooted in its family values, with a focus on comfort, natural materials, and the unique character of handmade design – blending tradition and modernity in every collection. Our cotton is grown, processed and spun in India.
Fabric
Our lightweight pure cotton fabric is woven in plain weave with a beautifully designed check, combining different coloured yarns in a playful check design. A slub yarn runs throughout the fabric with designed thicker sections that add to the texture of the fabric.
Factory
The garments are sewn by our suppliers in India who are a second-generation family-owned business. Although they are a larger company than our other suppliers we have always worked together with an individual and warm approach.
