Fibre
The alpacas are responsibly farmed in the Peruvian highlands. Alpacas' impact is light on the land they graze which makes them one of the most environmentally friendly animals.
Our wool fibres come from Argentina and Uruguay and are mulesing-free.
Fabric
Our half and half wool and alpaca yarn is ideally suited for knitted winter garments. In mid weight knits it has the traditional woollen knitwear feel but with extra softness added by alpaca fibres.The fibres are 'top' dyed before being spun into yarn. This process results in beautiful melange colours and a softer hand feel. Each panel is knitted to the shape of the garment which therefore creates less wastage. Panels and trims are attached using a hand-linking machine, resulting in a premium, high-quality garment.
Factory
Focused on creating low volume, high-quality garments, our Dongguan, near Hong Kong, based supplier is owned and managed by Jackie, recently with the involvement of his charming son Chapman. It is always a pleasure to visit Jackie and receive a sample from him as he nearly always interprets the design so well.
